Acrylic sheet with enamel paint, 2018
Traditional geometry has taken society very far, from huts to skyscrapers. We've come so far that now a new geometry has emerged, one which provides valuable insights into chaotic situations, one which has the potential to reconnect us with nature, and one which I view as absolutely fundamental to our survival. This new geometry is referred to as "fractals" and in this piece I've used two different types of fractals (the Mandelbrot set and Diffusion Limited Aggregation) to create a mesmerizing halftone pattern, using software that I developed and coded from scratch. The image was laser-engraved into acrylic and hand-painted.
