Electric Larry (Pickpocket) 1903

Acrylic paint and hard wax crayon pencil on panel, 2017

Electric Larry, third generation pickpocket (1903), earned his name as the fastest pickpocket in New York City at 17 years old after he was caught picking the pocket of a notorious gang member and taken back to their hideout where two of his fingers were cut off. He was then released back onto the street, where he healed in six months and found that with three fingers he was even faster at his craft than ever before and earned the name "Electric Larry".
