This summer I lived as an exchange student in Japan. My work displays my youngest host sister Aki holding a cherry with the stems connected as well as some of her favorite fruits in the background. The use of color in her skin shows how bright and playful she is and her expression is self-explanatory. My love for Aki is immense because she turns the smallest things, like cherries with the stems connected, into big deals.
