1963 Mercury Monterey
Acrylic on canvas, 2015
I admired this lovely lady during an Austin car show. The owner saw me photograph her, and was eager to share that they were the sole owners of the car. She had been a family member all these years and was greatly treasured. I not only loved her abstract reflections, but that her alizarin body against the cerulean sky seemed very patriotic to me. This is a large piece that I painted with my fingertips, palms, and brushes.
